Just some random trivia for you.
Brent is an English name that means “burnt”, after criminals who were burned or branded as punishment in Anglo-Saxon times. The name Hinds is of English origin, possibly an Anglicized version of the Irish Gaelic surname Heyne.
William (Bill) is an Old German name, meaning “helmet’ or “protection”, made popular by William the Conqueror. Kelliher is Irish Gaelic, meaning “Dear Companion”.
Troy is a French translation for the Greek isle that became so famous in ancient folklore, hence the Fall of Troy and the Trojan horse. It is also the Irish Gaelic word for “foot soldier”. Sanders is believed to be an Anglicized version of the Norman-French name Saunders, which comes from the Greek name Alexander.
Brann is a Scots Gaelic name that means “raven” or “black bird”. It is very uncommon outside of Gaelic-speaking families, which is why you don’t hear it much. It is also a Norwegian word meaning “fire”. Dailor is another very uncommon name, but I think it might be German in origin.
Brent is English/Irish, Bill is very Irish, Troy is Greek by way of France, and Brann is a Scottish/German hybird…at least by their names. Haha!
